How To Do the
Walk-Up Market

We are so excited to resume with a modified walk-up market.

Customers including pre-orders can enter the fairgrounds via the Historic Old Main Gate on 16th St. or Gate 3 just west of the old main gate. Pre-order customers should park on the west end of the parking lot.
Payment Methods Accepted:
- Vendors will accept cash and/or cards. (Please bring small bills only.)
- SNAP/EBT and Debit/Credit customers may still get tokens from Market tent.
- No coupons accepted at this time.
- We encourage pre-ordering. (See how-to below!)

Safety:
- Remember we’re all in this together. Please be patient and kind.
- Stay home if feeling unwell. Have someone else shop for you.
- Social distancing of six+ feet required.
- One shopper if at all possible per household.
- Shop quickly in order to minimize crowding in the market space. We love you, but please don’t linger!
- Cloth masks or plastic face shield not required but strongly encouraged per Health Department and CDC recommendations, especially for vendors and volunteers, to minimize potential viral load.
- Only vendor may touch items before they are bagged and sold. Point to the items you wish to view and/or purchase.
- Hand sanitizing stations are provided for customer use.
Other:
- Please purchase only what you need for a week or so. Leave enough for your neighbors.
- The market will offer food items only, with limited exceptions. All non-essential activities are canceled until further notice. This includes our kids activities, sampling and cooking demos. Music is being considered as an option with proper social distancing in place.
- The drinking water station will not be available.
- We are not accepting used containers (jars, egg & produce cartons, etc.).

The list of vendors that accept pre-orders/pre-payment is below. It is organized like a grocery store: produce, meats/eggs, baked goods, prepared meal items. Like or similar vendors are scattered throughout the market. CHECK BACK OFTEN as the list will be updated frequently.
Contact vendors through their specified Pre-Order instructions. You will need to place a separate order with each vendor you wish to purchase items from.
SNAP/EBT customers can pay SAFM staff at pick-up time. (Instructions below.)
Create a list of each vendor (Business Name) and the items you have ordered from them to bring with you on pick-up day.
If you have not pre-paid, have exact money ready in baggies (your name and vendor name and dollar amount MUST be on baggie) for vendors accepting cash only or check.(NO CHANGE WILL BE MADE FROM PRE-ORDER LOT). Market runner will deliver payment to each vendor.

Bonus points: Please have your name clearly written (Last/First) and your phone number for SAFM market runners to view upon arrival.
Preorders customers can enter the fairgrounds via Gate 3 just west of the old main gate. Look for the pre-order sign at the west end of the parking area. Market runners will be looking for you.
A market runner will approach your car. (It may take a bit if the runners are helping other customers.)
Tell the runner your last name, first name, and telephone number (that you used to place your order), and the names of the vendors you ordered from. If you are a SNAP/EBT customer give the runner, (very carefully) your card and tell them your PIN so they can run your card at the market tent. They will bring you your card and receipt. The runners will then go collect your orders.
Direct runners as to where you’d like your groceries placed in your car. (Pop your trunk or have back window open).
