2010 Season Vendors Meeting & Food Safety Training! Are you interested (even slightly) in being a vendor at the Sedalia Area Farmers' Market for the 2010 season? Please attend the informational meeting and food safety training at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010 in State Fair Community College's Potter-Ewing (Agriculture) building. Food safety training, as well as weights & measures training will take place at 6:30 (bring your scale if you would like it to be certified and will be selling items by weight). Hope to see you there!
The Market is taking a break (lying fallow) to allow our vendors time to plan and refresh for market season 2010, which opens Saturday, May 1st!
We will be letting those on our email list know about special order opportunities as available (e.g., Seasons Greens will have fresh greens for order in January). Would you like to be on our email list (sent every Market day with listing of vendor offerings)? We do NOT sell or give our email list to anyone! Send us an email at info@sedaliaareafarmersmarket.com
And note this comment by Sedalia Democrat web user jimpryde: "Though we didn't make it out as often as we liked, the market has been a great addition to Sedalia. The people there are wonderful, as are the products they offer. It's worth it to get fresh produce and get our toddler out and about to see new things. Here's hoping more people are introduced to the experience next year."
Debit & EBT (food stamps) now accepted! Now lack of cash (I hardly ever carry cash anymore) is no obstacle to fresh, local, healthy food! Just bring your card to the Market booth, and we'll give you wooden tokens to spend at all of our vendors. It's kinda fun!
Tell us! What would you like to see? We'll tell our growers! Email us at info@sedaliaareafarmersmarket.com or just put it on our whiteboard at the Market tent!
Thanks to all of our wonderful customers--shopping locally, eating healthfully!
